Kathmandu’s High Pile Men’s Pullover opens up so many options

Spending a lot of time in the great Australian outdoors can include some frosty adventuring and the need for suitable protection from the cold and other elements. Prior to winter I was on the hunt for just that, so invested in their Co-Z High Pile Men’s Pullover.

It’s obvious where it gets its name from, with the high pile fleece providing warmth and comfort in low temperatures. The adjustable hem and elastane ribbed cuffs are handy to keep the wind from blowing up and in. The half zip is particularly useful, allowing you to wear bulky items underneath or opened up to let some air in when under the sun. It also frees up movement.

With all the options, I never go past this pullover when fishing and camping in colder conditions – it gets everything right! The water-repellant fabric across the shoulders, hood and double studded kangaroo pocket is the icing on the cake.

Kathmandu continue to lead the way in sustainable manufacturing and remarkably, much of the pullover is made from recycled plastic bottles. I’m not sure if this is why it washes so well, but considering the wear and tear mine gets, it has held up extremely well. I’ve thrown just about everything at it when enjoying the great outdoors and it hasn’t let me down.
